Denny Fenn
President of Construction, Partner
Denny’s background consists of working in the construction industry for decades across different markets (multifamily, hospitality, industrial, and many more) in more than 35 states throughout the US. During his career, he has held senior executive management positions in several large design-build general contracting firms as well as a senior VP executive position with one of the largest multifamily developers on the East Coast. His expertise in running both the day-to-day production operations as well as his skill in establishing and organizing a construction division for sustained and responsible growth makes him the ideal executive to lead the Denton Floyd Real Estate Group’s construction division through its growth and expansion for years to come. Specifically, he has over fifteen years experience in the development and construction of industrial and manufacturing facilities.
Kerry Willett
Vice President of Preconstruction & Estimating, Principal
Kerry began working in the construction industry in 2000. Throughout her career, she has worked on various types of projects: production homes, custom-built homes, townhomes, apartments, assisted living and other commercial buildings. Her last 6 years were spent focused on assisted living and other commercial projects, her key roles were building relationships with vendors and subcontractors in new markets and estimating the projects. In her free time, Kerry enjoys spending time with her family and loves watching her daughters play sports.
David Buchenberger
Senior Project Manager
David joined the Denton Floyd Team in 2020. Born and raised in Louisville, David received a Bachelor of Science in Construction from Bradley University. He has over 20 years of experience in construction working for general contracting firms in both field and project management positions over the course of his career. David has worked on a variety of commercial and residential projects over the years, but has extensive experience with multi-family and HUD projects. Away from work, David enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and attending sporting events and concerts.
Jeff Christian
Director of Renovations
Jeff Christian and his team oversee all Renovation and Special Projects at Forge Construction. Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Jeff brings over 20 years of renovations and construction industry expertise. Before attending the University of Kansas, Jeff began his career remodeling single-family homes, where his passion for renovations resulted in his own remodeling company. After selling his venture, Jeff relocated to Louisville to expand his expertise from single-family to development and multi-family. Over the past decade, he has worked with several local developers, contributing to various, diverse projects—from large Garden-style communities to adaptive reuse and Senior Living facilities. Outside of Forge, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelli, and their daughter.”
Michael McBride
Project Manager
Michael started his construction career in 1991 and worked as a contractor for 15 years. Over the years, he has gained experience in commercial, multi-family, hospitality, senior living, and various other construction fields. For the past four years, he has mainly focused on high-end hospitality projects. In this role, he managed multiple projects and coordinated the relationship between the ownership and the contractors. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Keith Von Handorf, CPA
Vice President of Development and Construction Accounting, Principal
Keith is a CPA who served as a tax adviser at large regional accounting firms for seven years in Louisville prior to joining Denton Floyd in 2021. Originally from Covington, Kentucky, Keith received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Kentucky and moved to Louisville shortly after. Keith enjoys playing golf, hiking, and travelling in his free time. He is a member of the AICPA.
Shahana Reese
Senior Construction Accountant
Shahana has been a part of the Denton Floyd team since 2015. She began her career as a Staff Accountant and was promoted to the position of Corporate Controller with the growth of Denton Floyd’s Construction and Development Division. Originally from Cincinnati Ohio, Shahana moved to Louisville to attend the University of Louisville, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Louisville with a double major in Accounting and Finance. Shahana’s quick wit and fierce personality add great value to the Denton Floyd.
Morgan Rood
Construction Accountant
Morgan graduated from Spalding University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and being outdoors.
